Jabeson Bags was established in 2020 in Masiphumelele, a small township in Cape Town, by Someleze Jabe. Inspired by a high school sewing program, the brand started with a focus on designing and manufacturing high-quality, durable bags. Over the years, Jabeson has expanded its product offerings to include a clothing line, maintaining the same commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

Someleze Jabe - The visionary behind Jabeson

Someleze Jabe is a young, driven, and passionate entrepreneur who turned adversity into ambition. He founded Jabeson at just 16 years old in 2020 after completing a sewing program at the Sewing Café in Cape Town, Masiphumelele. What started as a simple skill quickly grew into a brand that represents resilience, township culture, and the power of hard work.

"I was born and raised in a small village called Mendu in Gatyana. Life was never easy—I was raised by a single mother after losing my father just 10 days before I was born. That pain shaped me, but it never broke me. Instead, it became my fuel. Watching my mother fight every day to raise me and my siblings, I knew I had to work twice as hard to change our story. I refuse to let my struggles define me; instead, I let them inspire me to build something greater."
